Hand-Me-Down

Krista's mom recently found an old outfit that Krista wore as a toddler. We thought it would be fun to take a picture of Ava wearing the same outfit.

We explained to Ava that she was wearing an outfit that her mommy also wore as a little girl. This got Ava really thinking.

Now she constantly talks about "growing big" someday. However, we would like for her to stay our little girl for a while longer.

Don't Go Fast!

A few weekends back we got several inches of snow. Ava and Larry decided to get all bundled up in warm clothes so that they could go outside to play in the snow.

They ventured off to build a snowman, but the snow would not pack. So they had to settle for a miniature snowman, which Ava promptly destroyed with her boots.

Having failed at making a snowman, Larry determined to show Ava some other ways to have fun in the snow. He grabbed a snow disc from the garage and tied some nylon string to it as Ava watched in anticipation.

Always the worry wart, Ava had to be coaxed into sitting on the disc. If Larry pulled her even the slightest bit fast she would exclaim "Don't go fast!".

Despite her apparent trepidation, she seemed to have fun all the same (although she appeared somewhat relieved when we told her it was time to go inside).

Ride 'Em Cowboy

Today's blog post brings several pictures of Christian which were taken over the past two months. This first one is from just before Christmas and shows Christian ready for the winter weather.

This one was taken at Grandma and Grandpa Furr's house during Christmas break. Christian thought he was pretty tough riding this rocking horse, which he surprisingly could remain balanced on for about 30 seconds at a time.

Krista took this picture about a month ago when Christian had just woken up from a good night's sleep. He seems very calm and collected.

Here's Christian sporting his signature faux-hawk.

Christian is starting to enjoy tummy time a bit more (he's enjoying gnawing on his finger as well). He can now roll over from back to tummy and back again.

Here's mini-Christian sitting in his Bumbo chair, which makes him look like he has no torso and really short legs.

He's sure growing up fast!

#1 Grandson

Grandpa Furr was excited to meet his first grandson for the first time over the Christmas holiday.
These pictures were taken at the airport. As you can see, Christian and Grandpa Furr hit it right off.
Throughout the rest of our stay in PA, Christian got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa Furr.
Christian liked all the silly faces that Grandpa Furr made.
And he even made a few silly faces of his own.
