Ava's 6-Month Pictures

We had Ava's six-month portraits taken today. A few were taken in her blessing outfit, while the other were taken in a more casual getup. These are a few of our favorites.

From Sailor Baby to Captain

June has been very a busy month full of birthdays, yard work, and trips. As a result, we have unfortunately been unable to post very many pictures. However, we wanted to make a quick post to show how much Ava has grown! This first picture is Ava in her baby sailor suit when she was around 1 month old.

This is Ava in her captain's outfit at five months old!

Ava's favorite thing to do is sing (which she does very loudly).

She also loves rolling all over her room while singing.

We promise to have many new posts soon to catch you all up on the Furr family!

Happy Father's Day

Ava and her mommy conspired this past week to make these Father's Day pictures for her daddy.

As you might imagine, they are her daddy's favorite gifts ever.

She was quite proud of herself.

Ava also helped her parents to make some Father's Day pictures for each of her grandfathers.

Ava tips her hat to fathers everywhere.

But most especially to her Daddy, Grandpa Olsen (Freddy O) and Grandpa Furr.

Summer Hats

Ava has been enjoying the summer weather and the excuse it gives her to accessorize.

Here she is in a little hat with strings, which are oh so fun to tug on.
She also likes wearing hats because Lily Mae is never without her hat.

Flip-flops make for another fun summer accessory.

And of course the warm weather affords her the opportunity to go barefoot. And we all know how much she likes her feet.

Ava's Amazing Aunts

Ava has some truly amazing aunts who have recently accomplished some amazing feats. Last week, Ava's Aunt Lauren (Krista's sister) graduated from Murray High School ranked seventh in her class.

Lauren will be attending BYU this fall on scholarship. Although she seems a little nervous, we know that she will do great.

Ava was there to support Lauren at graduation. We hope she will grow up to be as studious and as smart as her aunt.

Ava was not able to travel to Eugene, Oregon last week to support her Aunt Kelly (Larry's sister-in-law) during the NCAA Western Regionals for outdoor track and field. However, even without her favorite niece (we can say this with confidence since she is Kelly's only niece) in the stands, Kelly had an amazing day pole vaulting.

Kelly cleared a career-best height of 13' 8" (4.15 m), which also set the new BYU school record for women's pole vaulting.

With that height, Kelly placed second at regionals, which qualifies her to compete in the NCAA Outdoor National Championship on June 6-9 in Sacramento, California.

Kelly's jump of 13' 8" also ranks her among the top five collegiate women pole vaulters nationally. We congratulate Kelly on her amazing feat and wish her the best of luck at nationals this week.
